This is a live, instructor-led course built around one goal: teaching you retouching as a craft, not Photoshop as software. Over nine intensive live sessions, you'll build a complete, professional retouching workflow — from selecting your best frames and preparing RAW files, right through to color grading and export — the same process used in real client and portfolio work.
This isn't a pre-recorded video course and it isn't a broad "learn every Photoshop tool" class. It's a small-batch, live-taught program where every session is hands-on, every question gets answered in real time, and every student's work gets personally reviewed.
About Your Instructor
This course is taught by a Chennai-based professional retoucher and photography educator with 7 years of self-taught, hands-on experience in high-end model and portrait retouching. Every technique in this course comes from real client and portfolio work — not theory. Alongside freelance retouching, sessions have been conducted for large groups of photography students in both Tamil and English, with a teaching style built on repetition, detail, and making sure every student actually understands the "why" behind each technique — not just the steps.

This course is not recommended for wedding photographers looking specifically for wedding-style retouching. The workflow taught here is built around model and portfolio work — skin, tone, contouring, and color at a level suited to editorial, commercial, and portfolio imagery. A dedicated wedding retouching course is planned separately.
What You'll Learn
The curriculum is organized into progressive modules. Each module builds on the last, so by the end you'll have a complete, professional, non-destructive retouching pipeline — not a collection of disconnected tricks.
1. Understanding Retouching
Moodboard, style, and the non-destructive workflow.
2. Selection, RAW Processing & Workspace Setup
Selecting photos in Bridge and Lightroom, Camera Raw and Lightroom corrections, and setting up Photoshop for retouching.
3. Composition & Liquify
Cropping, composition, and Liquify.
4. Cleanup & Frequency Separation
Cleanup tools, selection tools, and a complete breakdown of Frequency Separation.
5. Dodging, Burning & Contouring
Sculpting light, shadow, and form.
6. Color Refinement
Refining skin tone, makeup, costume, and correcting or replacing colors.
7. Color Theory & Color Grading
Foundational color theory and building a signature grade.
8. Detailing, Sharpening & Export
Final detailing pass, output sharpening, and export.
This is a module overview, not a step-by-step breakdown — the live sessions go far deeper into each one.
Course Format
Mode: 100% Live Online (via Zoom / Google Meet) — not pre-recorded
Duration: 9 consecutive days
Timing: Daily, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Batch Size: Very small batch — limited seats, so every student gets direct, personal attention
Language: Taught in Tamil and English

What You'll Need Before Class Starts
A reasonably capable PC or laptop that can run Adobe Photoshop smoothly
A paid, genuine Adobe Photoshop subscription — some tools taught in class (including Generative Fill) require it and won't work on cracked or outdated versions
A working webcam and microphone — if you don't already have one, please arrange it and test it before the course starts
A stable internet connection for the full 2-hour session
A graphics tablet (any brand) — strongly recommended for precision retouching work
At least 1 hour of daily practice outside class hours — this course is hands-on, and consistent practice is what makes the techniques stick
A quiet, distraction-free space to attend and practice
A notebook (physical or digital) to note down key points during live sessions
Please test your camera, mic, and Photoshop setup a day or two before the course begins, so class time can be spent learning — not troubleshooting.
